Mom's New Journey

Mom began her new journey with God this morning.  She passed away, very peacefully at 2:30am - December 2nd, 2010.  Lisa and I had the privilege of being with her when God called her home.

All of Don and Linda's kids were by her side yesterday.  It was wonderful for everyone to have a chance to tell Mom how much she was/is loved.   Mom was also able to express her love and say goodbye to her family.

The family is doing good but we are all very tired.  It was a long night/morning.  Please, pray for rest for the family as they begin to plan two memorial services.  God has been by our side every step of this journey.  We will greatly miss Mom but we are glad that her pain is over.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 - "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

FYI:  Soon, we will be posting information on the memorial services...in Bayfield and in Arkansas.

We love you all!!!

When I saw your post this morning I was stunned. I sat for a few moments and could not believe what I read. Words cannot adequately express our sentiments right now nor the saddness that we feel with the passing of your sweet one. I got to know Linda in the early 80s when she played piano for swing choir in Bayfield. We have known Linda and Don for many years and they have always been so genuine, so precious. Linda's laugh is what we often talk about. She always had a special laughter that touched our hearts. And, Don...you're such a treasure, too. We are so blessed to have known Linda--to have had the priviledge of calling her friend. We were so looking forward to Don and Linda moving to Arkansas. We have had many wonderful times with both of them. Don, know that you are loved and that our prayers are surrounding you. We know how precious your sweet Linda was to you....that she still is. May the peace of the Lord overwhelm your hearts. We will miss her terribly....but, the hope of seeing her again can make our hearts smile. We love all of you. Duane, Anne and Lisa

Our family's sentiment has been mentioned above by so many already, but let us say, too, that we are truly sorry for your loss. May the Lord encompass you in His love and comfort as only He can. There will be many hugs waiting for you at home.
In Christ, Rod and Joanne Larson
